Privacy policy

This policy applies to the Carpos mobile app, the Carpos cloud service and the carpos.piyanos.com website, developed by Piyanos Technology (“Piyanos”, “we”). The Turkish version is authoritative.
In short
- In offline mode none of your records reach us; everything stays on your phone.
- In cloud mode your records are stored on our servers to provide the service and are transferred over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising, and the app shows no ads.
- This website uses no cookies.
Offline mode
In offline mode Carpos works without connecting to the internet. Plates, entry and exit times, fees, rates, subscribers (name, phone, plate), extra services and your business details are stored only in the local database on your device. Piyanos has no access to this data.
Uninstalling the app deletes this data. You decide where to keep the backup file created from Settings → Backup. If you share it via email or cloud storage, that service’s privacy terms apply.
Cloud mode
When you use a cloud account, the following data is processed on our servers:

We process this data on your behalf to provide the service. You collect plate and subscriber data from your car park’s customers. For that data, your business is the controller and Piyanos acts as the processor.

App permissions
- Camera: used only when you open the plate scanner. Plate text is recognised on the device with Google’s ML Kit library. Images are not sent to Piyanos or stored. ML Kit may send diagnostic and performance information (no image content) under Google’s own terms.
- Bluetooth: used only to find and connect to the receipt printer you choose.
- Internet: used only in cloud mode to communicate with our server.
Website
carpos.piyanos.com uses no cookies and contains no third-party tracking code. Fonts are served from our own site. The site is delivered via Cloudflare, which may process technical connection data such as IP addresses for security and delivery.
Service providers
We use infrastructure providers (server hosting, Cloudflare network and security services) to run the service. They process data only on our instructions and only as needed for the service. As the app is distributed through Google Play, Google’s privacy policy applies to downloads.
Retention
Cloud data is kept while your account is open. When the account is closed, it is deleted within a reasonable time, subject to legal retention obligations. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security.
Children
Carpos is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be announced on this page with a “Last updated” date.
